Small Business Group Health and Medical Insurance Plans
- Defined Contribution Options
- Percentage Plan & Option: Employers choose one percentage (50-100 percent) to contribute to their employees' monthly premiums and tie that percentage to a particular pan. Employees choose their ideal medical insurance plan and pay excess premium.
- Fixed Dollar Amount Plans: Employers choose to pay any fixed dollar amount, $100 or greater in $5 increments; amount applies to all plans offered to employees
- Traditional health and medical insurance group plan: Employer chooses a percentage (50-100 percent) to contribute to their employees' monthly premiums. Percentage applies to all plans offered to employees.
- Section 125 Premium Only Plan (P.O.P.)
- Allows workers to use pre-tax dollars to pay their share of benefit premiums. Total taxable payroll is reduced, saving employers on FICA and other taxes.
